Why become a Healthcare Assistant - Support Worker
The first of our end of summer open day recruitment event is at hand. A habit we have been building up and now more frequent and seasonal.
We invite working health care assistants, aspiring health care assistants, support workers, students to join us as we explore the challenges we face in the healthcare sector.
We are in an interesting period in which nothing that is affecting us is particularly new. It is just recurrent and happening rapidly and not everyone can keep up with the disruptions health care is causing. While the health care sector comes with disruptions, it also brings forth brilliant people who have the empathy we need and are the solid strength and rock we stand on.
The political climate has affected us all tremendously and healthcare which is in and of itself a great thing agencies, communities, local authorities are able to facilitate for the elderly, or disadvantaged is equally hugely affected by the direction of the political wave. Putting heads together to educate ourselves and explore ways of moving forward will go a long way to helping us maintain our integrity and future.
The economy has not been too kind either, our wages, inflation, freedom of movement, family care is greatly affected. There is hardly any certainty and not everyone would like to turn to the government for help. That is not always a guarantee and it can be severely binding. We will explore the various options available to curb the changes we face.
Do we take pride in what we do? Do we brand ourselves where ever we go? We represent the ill and elderly and their ailment in a way is contributing to the economy. Does it impact us enough to get the cars we want, the life we want? Does it cover us enough to go to places we would like to go? We will talk about how health care has affected our lives socially and how we still turn to it because it is a fast-paced growing industry.
We have to grow with the changes, evolve with the wave of technology invading us. It is a lot easier to operate with technology but as with every good thing, there is a downside. Can we stay current with the tech we have nowadays or again is it a social or economic difficulty we face in keeping up with tech?
Join us on Friday the 22nd and on our subsequent dates 6th and 20th October for light banter, a nice chat, refreshments and positively, a quick registration process.
